The mission of Connect Cuba is to empower Cuban civil society with open, uncensored access to the Internet and the ability to communicate freely with each other and the world. The Foundation for Human Rights in Cuba was looking for a logo that would inspire activism, patriotism, and easily translate to Spanish. The grassroots nature of the project required a logo that could be easily recognized and placed across a variety of applications. It can be seen just below the by-line on the Time magazine cover, stenciled onto a wall in Havana.
